The Human Interface Device team has a catalogue of health features we ship to customers every year. Weʼre looking for an authority QA who can help ensure quality of these shipped features on newer version on Apple Watch and watchOS. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Shown experience as a QA for software, firmware, and/or hardware project Excellent time-management and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of software development lifecycle Experience with test planning, leading test passes, and releasing software Proficient with black box testing and end user testing Proficient with debugging through log analysis and regression testing Familiarity with MacOS or Unix variant, including navigating file system, installing a new OS, configuring preferences Description Description Your responsibilities in this role include: Prepare test devices such as Apple Watch, iPhone, etc. for regression testing (installing the latest working build, updating tools version etc. Implement manual testing and kick off automated test programs on the latest builds Triage and fix test failures Report issues through a bug tracking system Compile and send out test results report Mentor junior team members Education & Experience Education & Experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Experience testing wearable or mobile devices Familiarity with digital signal processing Familiarity with command line tools (e.g. Terminal) Experience in testing embedded systems Experience in automation and Python programming Experience managing a team of QAs Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
