The position requires a highly motivated and creative individual with strong technical background in relevant technical fields including epitaxial crystal growth, materials and device characterization methods, and compound semiconductor device physics. Experience with developing devices in multiple material systems a plus. A successful candidate will have demonstrated an improvement in device performance related to improved crystal growth processes. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proven ability in epitaxy of compound semiconductor devices Experience with epitaxy of light-emitting diodes is preferred. Broad knowledge of material and device characterization methods (ECV, SIMS, XRD, PL, Hall effect, on-wafer and packaged electro-optical testing, etc.) Proficiency with data analysis and principles of statistically designed experimentation (JMP, MATLAB, Excel, Stat-ease, etc.) Shown expertise in compound semiconductor device physics. Description Description • Work as part of a team of scientists and engineers developing epitaxy processes for compound semiconductor devices for next generation display systems.
• Analyze and interpret materials characterization data relevant to device performance characteristics.
• Work closely with worldwide R&D, wafer fab, and product teams to ensure that epitaxy processes deliver the required performance, throughput, and yield.
• Participate in transfer of know-how to and from outside partners.
• Monitors equipment performance and work with equipment engineering team to resolve issues, and to develop new capabilities. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
