You will help implement continuous integration and deployment processes, develop automation and presentation layer around Kubernetes deployment of our products, and contribute to our micro-service architecture and implementation.  The ideal candidate will have a strong customer driven focus on providing the tooling that enables our internal development customers. Past leadership experience is a must!Position Overview:Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.  Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complex.  Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.  Manages a staff of professional and support associates.  Makes day-to-day decisions for group/department.  Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Assignments are defined in terms of activities and objectives.Position Details: Lead and motivate a remote team of experienced Cloud Engineers to buildClosely partner with our Business Engagement Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Customers to identify, prioritize, scope, and deliver value-driven data solutionsRoadmap execution through backlog management and sprint planning in Jira to prioritize value-driven business outcomesLead the growth and improvement of our highly scalable data management ecosystem to adapt and support the evolving needs of our business partnersUse your innate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and internal drive to continually grow, develop, and hone your craftRequired Skills:5 years of directly related experience Ability to balance, prioritize multiple projects, and remain calm under pressure.3+ years Kubernetes and Helm experience a must3+ years Git + CI/CD (Gitlab preferred)3+ years Major cloud provider tooling (AWS, Azure, GCP)3+ years with VM tooling (Packer, etc.)3+ years configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Pulumi)General programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, Go Lang, Node.js + Express.js, TypeScript)Agile / LeanExperience in leading a team of Cloud Engineers toward a company milestoneValued Skills:Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsThe ability to translate compliance requirements to technical controlsExperience with a cloud container service (EKS, AKS, GKE)A strong desire to work with new and upcoming technologiesBuild and maintain highly available systemsOpen for providing mentorship to other team membersCompensation:​Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation.
