Conducts programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation to increase flexibility in deployments through automation.We are looking for an outstanding Software Development Engineer to join our Performance and Hardware Engineering team to manage the complex Performance Lab both in Private and Public cloud. Our growing team covers the entire Workday technology stack and has an exciting opportunity for people who enjoy taking a holistic view of complex cloud-based systems. Our team operates a large lab, conducts performance analysis to optimize the Workday stack. We also support a variety of performance tools and analytics for software developers around the company to ensure flexibility of the deployment stack of Workday. We develop our own tooling to support these activities in Bare Metal with minimal customizations for flexibility.About the RoleAs a Software Development Engineer in Performance and Hardware focussing on development and automation of deployment in private and public cloud, you will own the infrastructure for our services with a focus on availability, automation, performance and security. You will be responsible for keeping Workday cloud services and our own team's performance analytics services up and running smoothly. You will develop and automate programs and scripts, and set up CI/CD builds, graphs, dashboards, alerts, and logs, as well as manage, scale and optimize our products and services across both Bare Metal and Public Cloud (AWS, GCP).
