In this role, you will focus on applying machining learning techniques to large databases acquired during product development. Your work will help provide insight into processes previously unknown to engineers, contributing to better control of production and, ultimately, better products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Profound understanding in machine learning, deep learning, or reinforcement learning; specialization in anomaly detection is highly desirable Proficient in one or more of the following: C/C++/Python/Matlab Experience working with PyTorch or Tensorflow Demonstrated experience in launching at least one ML project - involvement across the full pipeline (data preprocessing; model development; deployment) Knowledge of or interest in at least one of the following manufacturing processes would be an advantage, with hands-on experience a plus: 1) Machining 2) Injection molding of plastics 3) Stamping and forging 4) Precision assembly with adhesives 5) Laser cutting/welding, etc. Ability to work in a collaborative, highly cross-functional and fast pace environment. Description Description You will be directly responsible for employing machine learning techniques to reveal data patterns in a manufacturing environment, with a team of talented engineers and scientists: Identify potential ML applications to upgrade current manufacturing processes Collaborate closely with vendors and Apple suppliers, to deliver mass-production friendly solutions Analyze large amounts of data to upgrade algorithm designs Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. Willingness to travel to different locations and work in manufacturing environments. Ability to work independently without supervision.
