Do you love crafting tools to improve your team's effectiveness? As part of our Silicon Engineering Group, you’ll help our team test our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip (SoC) before production.
This position will modernize and scale our team's software infrastructure, automate CI jobs, and automate lab fleet management. It will build the infrastructure for testing of our silicon debug tools and services. Your contributions will positively impact rapid targeted debug and triage of Apple hardware products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Enthusiastic about collaborating with software developers to architect solutions Has a driving passion to improve existing processes and systems Experience with the Unix/Linux command line interface and shell scripting (Bash, Bourne, etc.) Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python Experience with version control (i.e. git, svn) Description Description Develop and support tools to:
- Gather performance and failure data from a fleet of development and prototype hardware
- Create dashboards for viewing test status
- Automate silicon test execution on development boards and Apple products so we can get the best utilization of our hardware lab
- Meet our growing team's development needs Education & Experience Education & Experience 6 years relevant industry experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements - Bringing up and maintaining web services with Flask or other web frameworks - Experience in maintaining CI systems such as Jenkins - Processing of structured data in YAML or JSON - Experience with Expect and dealing with ad-hoc CLIs - Knowledge of current and up-coming automation and infrastructure technologies/frameworks - Prior experience architecting a software QA infrastructure Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $50.75 and $76.15/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
