Worldwide category plays a critical role in developing these growth areas for HPThis role brings together all elements of Business Management, Product Management, Go To Market, Marketing, Alliances, building a strong strategy and business plan, and supports the execution of the plan.Responsibilities:Strategy and PlanningBuild a long-term strategic blueprint for business growth including existing business opportunities and new growth areas by assessing industry and customer trends in partnership with key stakeholders. Design detailed annual business plan with all elements of business metrics, resource requirements & operational levers.Strategy ExecutionTranslate annual business plans into quarterly operational plan for the year including business goals, key priority area & resource requirements.Collaborate across all stakeholders including Global Business unit, alliances, marketing, finance & country teams to drive necessary resources to support the said business plan.Category Management Responsible for WW business metrics including Revenue, Gross Margin & Market Share.Work closely with country category teams to operationalize country level quarter business plans.Own end to end resolution of operational issues including product, marketing, alliances, supply & tools/processes including partnering with respective owners of different business functions. Provide active direction & support to country teams in resolving tactical and operational issues.Drive competitive insights through structured data analytics using HP and industry reports as well as informal insights through country teams, channel partners and customer engagements.Represent HP in external forums including industry events, alliance partners events as well as HP customer and partner forums.Representing workstation business in various executive forums.Driving GrowthSupport country level 4P plans for key growth areas using a dedicated team of program managers.Bring alignment of 4P plans by building a WW view and tying back to annual business objectives.People EnablementAbility to build and develop a passionate team to a common business objective.Manage a global team working across different cultural backgrounds as well as multiple time zones.Work across team members with varying levels of experience, from entry level to senior managers.Act as a coach and mentor to upskill the team in creating a strong bench strength of future leaders for the organization.Skills:Strategic mindset with ability to develop business plans with executable elements. Ability to identify market trends and map with HP capabilities to identify growth opportunities. Aptitude to comprehend multiple product roadmaps and technology trends and how they will evolve together in the future. Understand market and competitive landscape well, identify competitive opportunities and gaps and integrate into HP strategy. Strong understanding of diverse business functions including Product, Marketing, Finance, Alliance partners and Go to Market. Ability to work in a large matrix organization with multiple stakeholders across the value chain, ensuring projects move ahead with specific timelines taking all stakeholders along. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work across multiple different teams, with diverse objectives. Strong Relationship skills at various levels including Executives and Senior Management Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to conceptualize, create and articulate business and product presentations, designed for various audiences including Sales, Category Teams, Business Discussions and Senior Management.Qualification Required: Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration with Technical / Engineering Background or equivalent experience.Experience:Minimum 12-15 years of experience with at least 8-10 years’ experience in country/regional sales and product/category roles.At least 7 years of people management experience.Travel: >25%.
