AMD Alliance ManagerDescription -Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including marketing and business programs, computing solutions and user experiences. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in complex disciplines in which the company must operate to be successful. Able to generate highly innovative business and/or user solutions. Leads cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. Responsibilities:  Support initiatives spanning growth strategy and operational excellence Research, analyze and recommend courses of action that directly contribute to tangible outcomes Influence, negotiate and manage marketing and business program agreements between HP and AMD for win-win outcomes Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance Work effectively in a team environment, both within the Personal Systems Strategic Alliances team and with business unit partners and stakeholders as well as external Alliance Partners including AMDWork collaboratively across various internal organizations to support joint HP-AMD initiatives Establish internal and external network to promote, gain buy- in and expand partner program within and across HP. Strategize partner network and integrate partner into strategic HP initiatives to drive market and platform direction. Additionally, may be assigned responsibilities at lower job levels.  Education and Experience Required:  BA or BS in Marketing or related field. 5+ years marketing experience or equivalent Partner, sales, industry, channel experience or equivalent. Knowledge and Skills:  Knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools and developing value proposition with partners. Knowledge across marketing mix and vehicles for program execution with strategic partners. In-depth experience in product/service/solution offering within industry and segments. Ability to interface effectively with executive management across different business functions. Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams. Excellent negotiating, influencing, consensus- building and conflict- resolution skills. Critical thinker Ability to handle ambiguity and unstructured work situations Demonstrated ability to shape and influence ideas and actions of others Able to span near-term product initiatives and long-term strategic planning across the HP portfolio such as computing, gaming and cloud service solutions HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•Dental insurance•Disability insurance•Employee assistance program•Flexible schedule•Flexible spending account•Health insurance•Life insuranceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $123950 - $190900 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
