Carbon and Life Cycle Analysis Technical SpecialistDescription -Description:The Carbon & LCA Team manages all carbon assessments, HP is an industry leader in sustainability and has announced ambitious goals to address Climate, Human Rights, and the Digital Divide. Our mission is to innovate new and reinvent existing technologies that make life better for everyone, everywhere. HP aims to be Net Zero by 2040, with interim goals of carbon neutrality for portions of the company by 2030. We are expanding our bench of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Climate specialists to advance these goals throughout the entire value chain of the company.This position is focused on applying lifecycle assessment subject matter expertise to guide HP business units and/or partner organizations in meeting our carbon reduction goals.  This includes being the end-to-end resources for developing and certifying carbon assessment tools, guiding carbon reduction strategies through LCA assessments, understanding process improvement needs, as well as using supplier actual data within our LCA tools.At the specialist level, this individual shall be able to solve problems of diverse complexity and scope, handle most unique situations and exercise independent judgment, and act as a project leader providing direction to team activities and the team decision making process.Responsibilities:Develop and certify lifecycle assessment models for a specific business unit or partner organization.Guide carbon reduction strategies for individual business units and partner organizations by using LCA to identify greatest areas of impact.Create methodologies for assessing carbon impacts due to HP suppliers and incorporate this data into HP LCA models.Track progress of carbon reductions against company goals.Implement process improvements (e.g., identify data gaps, increase product coverage).Act as a peer leader on cross functional project teams.Act as an LCA and carbon reduction resource and spokesperson across HP.Education and Experience Required:First level university degree; may have advanced university degree.Prior experience in LCA and carbon footprintIdeally, 4+ years in a supply chain functionKnowledge and Skills:Experience in LCA, knowledge of climate standards (SBTi, CDP)Expertise in supply chain and carbon assessmentVery strong analytical skills.Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and high-level modeling tools.Very strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; mastery in EnglishHP is an equal opportunity employer:  https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c08129225#LINKEDINJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
