Senior Software EngineerDescription -We are seeking outstanding engineers to play a pivotal role in the development of HP Personal System's forthcoming platform. This platform is designed to support advanced customer products and services powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence.The role involves playing a key part in the creation and integration of a cloud data and management pipeline. It will necessitate working alongside various teams and partners within the Personal Systems and Cloud Ecosystem Organization. The role requires independently determining the best strategies, techniques, and benchmarks to achieve objectives.Responsibilities:Plays a pivotal role in crafting various software projects, ensuring they meet business and security goals.Analyzes and determines the necessary coding and integration based on goals and integration standards.Conducts tests, documents result, troubleshoots code issues, and recommends enhancements.Works as part of a team with other engineers and external partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.Engages with development partners on design, progress, and problem-solving.Collaborates on software projects and maintains project components.Implements automation for deployment and monitoring.Ensures system reliability and scalability.Works with Data and Database Engineers for integrated solutions.Reviews designs and activities for compliance with standards, enhancing product quality and reducing risk.Helps shape technology strategies and engineering roadmaps.Offers guidance and mentorship to junior staff, leading by example in innovation and excellence.Knowledge & SkillsPreferred Proficiencies: Hands-on Experience in Java/Go/C++, Microservices architecture, and AWS is preferred. Familiarity with Cloud Messaging systems like Rabbit MQ and Kafka, Docker Containers and CI/CD pipeline is preferred.Developing Technical Expertise: Candidates should possess or be actively expanding their technical understanding of intricate software systems.Adaptability: The ability to adapt to rapid development cycles and maintain flexibility amidst changing project requirements is crucial.Design and Development Tools: Proficiency in using software design tools and programming languages is required.Analytical Skills: The role demands strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.Testing Acumen: A solid grasp of software testing methodologies, including the execution of test plans, debugging, and the use of testing scripts and tools, is important.Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate design ideas and negotiate alternatives is essential.Architectural Experience: A robust background in the overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions is expected.Analytical and Problem-Solving Excellence: Exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving skills are a must for this position.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence.
