Principal Engineer

Principal EngineerDescription -We are looking for a Principal Cloud and Data Engineer to lead our team and help us design and implement cutting-edge cloud and data solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire data lifecycle, from data acquisition and integration to data analysis and visualization. You will also leverage your expertise in cloud technologies and services to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our data platforms and systems.Deep technical experts and thought leaders that help accelerate adoption of the very best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends and practices Visionaries, collaborating on HPs toughest issues, to deliver on business needs that directly impact the lives of our customers and associates. Role models and mentors, helping to coach and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community. Evangelists, both internally and externally, helping to elevate the Distinguished Engineering community and establish themselves as a go-to resource on given technologies and technology-enabled capabilities.Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud and data pipelines and architectures using various platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL, etc.Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and provide technical guidance and feedback.Establish and enforce data engineering best practices and standards across the organization.Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud and data technologies and tools.Communicate and collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand and meet their data needs and expectations.Knowledge & SkillsStrong experience in software development, systems engineering, or software generalExpert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.Experience designing and developing software applications design tools and languages.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions.Evaluating and selecting forms and processes for software applications testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the business unit and executive levels.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. 10+ years of experience leading a cloud or data engineering team.Job -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
