About the role: Skydio is seeking an enthusiastic Manufacturing Quality Supervisor to assist in high-quality production. This role requires a technical and supervisory skill set combined with solid soft skills and a keen interest in aerospace-related hardware. This role will be based on-site in Hayward, CA (remote work not available): How you'll make an impact: Supervise a team of quality control inspectors Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and collaborate with the production team to identify and address quality issues Lead the metrology lab activities such as inspection prioritization, nonconformance reporting, driving material review board  Perform day-to-day incoming inspection on mechanical components and/or PCBA  Work with engineers to continue documentation efforts (IQC/IPQC/OQC) Identifying and documenting defects within JIRA Monitor and work with others to maintain metrology lab equipment Assist engineers and peer technicians to create/maintain/improve rework instructions Comprehend and champion product quality standards to production line assembly operators Assist in root cause investigations (mechanical, electrical, assembly, design, part quality) Create and maintain simplified dashboard slides and be able to communicate observations Train and mentor quality control inspectors on inspection methodology and standards Maintain accurate documentation and inventory accuracy What makes you a good fit: Experience managing a team, setting realistic targets, and holding teams accountable  Experience using quality measurement tools (gauges, calipers, scales, OMM, CMM, etc) Experience with cosmetic inspection Strong oral and written communication skills (inside and outside of direct team) Experience with consumer electronics manufacturing and assembly processes Knowledge of spreadsheets, Google Slides, QMS, and MES systems Incredible attention to detail Quality champion mindset Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.
