Job Description
Magic Leap is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join the hardware team working on next-generation product development. In this role, you will be developing new technologies for display and perception sensor systems . The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of product development from concept to productization including architecture and design, hardware validation, troubleshooting, testing, and qualification. Join our team developing next-generation technology for augmented reality devices in an agile hardware environment.
Responsibilities:
Research and development of new display and perception technologies
Rapid prototyping, development, and testing of hardware proof of concepts and experiments, including software bring up
Define system and component level specifications and test plans.
Design, analyze, simulate, and verify digital and analog hardware for high-speed low-power applications
Troubleshooting factory issues and implementing tests at the system and module level
Writing firmware in Python, C/C++, and scripting languages
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and vendors to resolve cross-functional issues
Qualifications:
1+ years of work experience in a related field
Solid understanding of digital and analog design fundamentals
Experience using lab equipment for measurements and testing
Proficient with C/C++, Python, and/or Matlab
Proficient with Cadence or other schematics/layout tool
Proficient with SPICE simulation
Experience with high-speed interfaces such as MIPI DSI, MIPI CSI, USB, and PCIe is preferred
FPGA design experience is preferred
Working knowledge of camera and display systems is preferred.
Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred (Computer Engineering or other).
MS preferred.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus, equity, and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees. US Base Salary Range $76,000 — $104,000 USD
