The Opportunity Digital Composite Technology (DCX) is a framework that defines a cloud native format for media files generated by Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express, XD, Aero and InDesign. It is one of the key technologies powering Adobe's Creative Cloud platform. Our team is a part of Adobe's strategy for connecting desktop, mobile and web applications to cloud services to leverage features such as fast synchronization, multi-user collaboration, conflict resolution and multi-device access for media documents. We develop code in three languages: platform independent C/C++, Java, and JavaScript. The C++ library is used by desktop and mobile applications and contains the most comprehensive and complex functionality. The java library supports services workflows, and the JavaScript library supports browser-based web clients and Node.js-based service clients. Come accelerate the development and adoption of DCX by implementing features that enable the application teams to deliver solutions and provide a flawless experience to end-users. You will own feature development that follows the complete software development lifecycle, including defining requirements and use cases with product designers, writing design documentation and API specifications, developing code, and writing test automation. A critical part of the job is helping application teams understand how to use the technology, investigating bugs, and maintaining code quality. What you'll do Develop efficient, reliable, testable cross-platform code in C/C++, Java, and JavaScript. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and develop efficient solutions that are optimized for performance. Develop example code, write, and maintain documentation illustrating best practice usage of our API. Champion a collaborative culture passionate about operational excellence and solving complex problems by setting the bar high and enabling all team members to take ownership of technical innovations and creative workflow improvements.Compile C++ code using various compilers on multiple platforms and architectures such as Windows, MacOS, iOS, Linux, Android, WASM (Web Assembly), ARM, and x64. Propose build and deployment mechanisms from different contexts such as the browsers, Node.js, and application sandbox. Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using the build system, automating the entire build, testing, and deployment process of the SDK. What you need to succeed Bachelor of Science, or higher degree, in Computer Science or related field of study. Firm computer science fundamentals, including design patterns, algorithms, asymptotic complexity, parallelism, and database schema design. Prior work experience developing cross-platform technologies and packaging it as an SDK/library. Expert knowledge on C++ (11 onwards) and deep understanding of C/C++ compilation model, including linking. High proficiency in JavaScript/typescript including asynchronous programming and/or Java. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Able to onboard onto the Adobe Cloud Platform with minimal assistance and make impactful contributions that improves the end user experience. Opportunity and affirmative action employer. The U.S. pay range for this position is $146,400 -- $275,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
