The company's Advanced Development (AD) team in Yokneam is looking for an Electro-Optical IC Design Engineer for research and development. The AD group is doing research and development of next-generation electro-optical devices and EO sub-systems for high-speed communication.We are looking for an electrical engineer with background in optoelectronics design and testing. Working on retimed optical links from current and next gen SerDes at 200G per lane and beyond. Our solutions include laser diodes, photodiodes, modulators, and electronics for use in optoelectronics. The selected candidate would work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, composed of engineers and researchers, supporting the development of future components and systems, exploring new technologies.What you’ll be doing:Take part in research and development of next-generation electro-optical devices, next-generation IC’s and EO sub-systems for high-speed communication.The candidates' tasks will include:Work on the combination of 1.6T retimed ICs in combination with retimed optics and LPO with high BW targeting more than 50GHz BW, in the near future we will also scale this to 3.2T optics in NVidia DGX scale out systems.Part of development team of next-generation EO sub-systems for high-speed communication.Hands-on development and testing in lab environment.What we need to See:B.Sc./M.Sc./PHD in Electrical Engineering/Physics or equivalent experienceExperienced in designing high bandwidth (50GHz+) analog circuits.5+ years of experience in analog circuit design and modellingExperience in electro-optical and High-Speed lab environment – High end measurements.Knowledge of electro-optical components: Drivers, CDR, Gearbox, DSP, Lasers, Detectors, Amplifiers…etc.Strong abilities to work as part of a team. Highly motivated.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Prior experience with DSP and optical datacenter links is a plus.Experience in layout extraction and board level simulation an advantage
