Director, Planning and Control - Autonomous Vehicles

We are seeking an energetic, hardworking Leader to lead an organization of Planning and Control engineers through the productization and delivery of crucial ADAS and autonomy functions. In this role, you will drive the full development life-cycle of the product. You will act as a technical leader, as well as a people manager and career mentor. Similarly, you will bridge the gap between engineering, product, and project management teams.What you'll be doing:We believe that the maturation and productization of any ADAS or autonomy function entails a diversity of activities, including:Setting the algorithmic direction and architectural structure of Planning and Control functionsBuilding the organization roadmap and workplans in coordination with a global organizationLeading activities to develop new and improved driving functions into a production stackDeveloping and maintaining teamwork efforts with local and global teams to solve technical problemsGrowing the organization in alignment with the roadmap and future goals, and hiring the right talentProviding career development to each of your team members through constructive reviews and performance feedbackWhat we need to see:BS or higher in an engineering or technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience15+ years of software product experience8+ years of engineering leadership experienceExperience shipping ADAS or Autonomy functions in a software driven cultureWays to stand out from the crowd:We definitely want to hear from you if you are an upbeat contributor with a background that includes one or more of the following:Experience with management of multiple teams and leadersExperience shipping products, especially building from a clean sheet designBackground in building a robust software testing infrastructureAcademic and commercial groups around the world are powering a revolution in artificial intelligence using deep learning techniques running on NVIDIA GPUs, enabling breakthroughs in problems from image classification to speech recognition to natural language processing and autonomous vehicles.
