In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales leadership in the South region and your fellow marketing peers to develop and implement the marketing strategy, plan, and budget for the region. You will strategically plan and execute integrated high-impact marketing programs to promote current and prospective customer engagement and drive pipeline growth and customer loyalty, deploying the right mix of marketing programs to reach, educate, nurture and convert our target audiences driving high quality leads and opportunities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Americas Field Marketing, the ideal candidate is a modern marketer that has a demonstrated track record of upmarket pipeline generation and deal acceleration programs.Your day-to-day Plan, manage, execute, and measure the quarterly regional marketing plan to create and accelerate opportunities and position Proofpoint as a thought leaderEnsure strong communication with key stakeholders by creating a high level of awareness, excitement and adoption of marketing programs and resourcesExceed key quarterly metrics goals and track program results, measuring program success and reporting metricsManage and execute multi-faceted event programs, including in-person and virtual seminars, webinars, executive conferences & roundtables, industry events, and networking events, as well as developing pre and post event plansProvide onsite execution support for marketing programs Conceptualize and manage meeting makers, appointment-setting and direct mail campaignsIdentify and manage relevant industry associations and ensure proper level of engagementBuild technology partner co-marketing programs into the regional marketing plansTrack lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely mannerWork closely with corporate public relations to drive brand awareness in the regionEstablish and proactively manage field marketing budget, being vigilant in tracking and effective in spendAlign with Sales VPs and Regional Directors to understand the market trends in the region and customize programs as needed to help drive quota attainment goalsWhat you bring to the teamMinimum of 8 years of experience in a high-tech B2B sales-facing marketing roleA passion for Field Marketing and working with sales to generate pipeline and drive the businessSuccess in managing integrated marketing campaigns and programs to generate new business, cross-sell and up-sell pipeline, and accelerate salesAbility to demonstrate leadership, innovation and creativity, and an innate ability to think outside of the boxEnthusiasm for challenges and a strong work ethicExcellent strategic thinking skills with ability to make data-driven decisionsExperience working with sales leadership and ability to influence others cross functionallyInitiative, a sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, strong organizational and project management skills, and a "can do" attitudeExcellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both verbal & written)A positive attitude, friendly outgoing demeanor, and willingness to take a few risksWilling to travel 25% of the timeWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
