We are seeking a regional senior leader who will lead the local perception deep learning (DL) engineering team for the AV L2++ program. Real-time robust perception of the 3D world is essential to autonomous vehicles and rapid production & reproduction of a robust perception model for a given data is a key to success. As a senior leader, you will work closely with global teams and enhance the performance of the L2++ perception DL software stack.As a leader of our regional perception team, you will build world-class perception solutions by developing groundbreaking deep learning/machine learning models using large-scale data. Your mission is to improve the robustness and accuracy of perception DL models using multiple sensor modalities (e.g., camera, radar, ultrasonic, and lidar) under challenging and diverse scenarios to fully enable autonomous driving anywhere and anytime.What You Will Be DoingHire, lead, and manage a team of extraordinary DL SW engineers, obsessed with reliability, scalability, efficiency, continuous integration & development, and automation.Collaborate with the global/regional perception engineering team and program managers to release the production DL model.Increase automation and improve the quality of production models, while also focusing on Nvidia’s PLC standard requirements.Propose and implement the best engineering and research practices to enable the fast iteration of and efficient experimentation for production DL model release.Offer support and solving assistance for the DL pipeline, while continuously improving stability along the way.What We Need to See:BS, MS or PhD in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience15+ years of overall experience in embedded systems, computer vision, and machine learning development and productization5+ years of management experienceExpertise in large-scale machine-learning systems and platformsDemonstrated the ability to develop data-first, production machine learning pipelinesProven experience in managing senior/principal engineersTrack record of being a technical leader for sophisticated successful projects, leading from problem to requirements, design, implementation, deployment, and operationsYou are balanced, show intellectual honesty, and demonstrate inclusiveness in your interactions.Be a fun and hardworking teammate who enjoys a challenge and celebrates success.Ways You Can Stand Out From The Crowd:Production Experience in autonomous vehicles: Proven record of developing perception solutions for autonomous driving using deep learning and experience on diverse sensor modalities such as cameras, ultrasonics, and radar.Research Experience: Relevant publications related to perception tasks for self-driving, general computer vision, and deep learning in leading conferences/journals.Advanced Model Knowledge: Experience in working with sophisticated visual recognition models, especially models for 2d/3d object detection and classifications.
