Our products enable countless people to fully-utilize and enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Apple Accessories Hardware Engineering team is searching for a driven, hardworking electrical engineer. This is a rare and extraordinary opportunity allowing ownership from silicon and system architecture definition to component selection, schematic capture and board layout to validation and manufacturing. We are constantly facing new challenges and encourage curiosity and diversity of thought in finding unique solutions. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Must have great EE fundamentals. This means you have a deep understanding of why our discipline works the way it does; you’ve developed an intuition and can apply it to new topics because you understand the basics. Must have hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification. Experience designing products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers. Experience in low power embedded systems, from 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers to multi-core ARM-based SoC’s, is deeply beneficial. Familiarity with various data protocols: USB, UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SWD Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMM’s, VNA’s, thermal test equipment, etc. Experience in the following areas is especially desirable: DC/DC power design, microcontrollers, USB-PD, wireless charging, sensing technologies 2+ years of relevant industry experience Description Description On the team you will engage with a rewarding variety of responsibilities: Lead HW architecture definition, design and development Custom silicon specifications and validation, from simple glue logic to multi-core ARM SoCs Schematic capture, component selection and design review Manage PCB layout with our team of designers HW validation planning and execution Collaborate with cross functional teams involved in product design and development process at Apple Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,100 and $208,300 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
