In Pro Video Applications, we strive to take full advantage of the newest hardware and CoreMedia feature to make Video Editing and Production an exceptional experience. We provide the opportunity for our customers to fully utilize and maximize the use of the Media Engines on Apple Silicon hardware. We work with CoreMedia and AVFoundation teams to build out new functionality that extends the feature set available to all levels of video Editor, Directors, and enthusiasts. As a Application UI Engineer on the Pro Video Apps team, you will be responsible for implementing applications on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS for customer-facing features on Apple hardware platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with passionate and creative colleagues to meet ambitious goals in an environment that requires constant curiosity and growth. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proficiency with C++, Objective-C, Swift / SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit Ability to work collaboratively and explain complex ideas clearly Experience with Apple platform development Great analytical, programming, and debugging skills Description Description The Pro Video Application team is looking for a highly motivated UI Software Engineer to design and build features that leverage OS frameworks to bring to life new features and functionality in our professional and consumer video applications. We have an exciting roadmap and our team is growing. As a UI Engineer on our team, you will design and implement new features and bug fixes in video applications and frameworks and champion innovative solutions to improve the product and team. You’ll also collaborate with outstanding engineering and cross-functional partners who will help you succeed and grow as we deliver incredible user experiences together. You will be responsible for bringing your ideas to life through all stages of development, from initial research, to UX design and prototyping, to testing and development in C++, Objective-C, Swift / SwiftUI. Education & Experience Education & Experience You will need proven software engineering fundamentals — including object-oriented design and concurrency — to be successful in this role, but a specific degree or concentration is not required. Pervious experience with application development on an Apple device/OS is desirable. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,100 and $208,300 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
