Our team is responsible for system level frameworks including CoreGraphics, ColorSync, PDFKit, ImageIO, ImageCapture and much more. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ Years experience in Software Development Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills Excellent knowledge of programming languages C, C++ and/or ObjC Experience with operating systems level engineering Sound solid understanding of graphics APIs Reliable familiarity with CoreGraphics, AppKit and UIKit APIs Knowledge of image file formats a major plus Description Description We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer with strong technical and programming skills to work on ImageIO and related frameworks. You will have the opportunity to build and evolve the C, Objective-C, and Swift APIs, which application developers use, to decode, manipulate, and encode images. You will add new features to ImageIO. You will diagnose and fix complex problems, and provide advice to internal and external clients about standard methodologies when using the framework. You will collaborate with many other teams to deliver quality improvements and performance enhancements. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Knowledge of ARM or x86 assembly code and optimization Self motivated, independent and proactive Proven track record shipping outstanding software products Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills Attentive to detail Strong Low-Level debugging abilities Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
