We, Wallet & Payments Engineering team, are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who can be responsible for an emerging team of SREs to design, deliver and support the next generation systems powering Payments at Apple. You would join a complementary team responsible for providing scalability, reliability and maintainability solutions for our ever growing business and data processing needs. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience with containerization and container orchestration systems like Docker and Kubernetes Experience with Cloud Engineering and Continuous Delivery platforms Familiarity with configuration management tools, CICD platforms, Scripting, Unix, Java, Relational and Distributed databases. Experience supporting and scaling large enterprise applications in a critical "follow-the-sun" environment. Understanding of SRE principals, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts Operational experience with supporting large scale Banking or Payments systems, is a plus. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience and proficiency in event-based and log-based monitoring systems, deployment tools, Unix and AWS. Experience supporting and scaling large enterprise applications in a critical "follow-the-sun" environment. Excellent code-debugging/optimisation, analytical problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Ability to clearly and accurately communicate day-to-day operations to ensure detailed hand-off to regional SRE teams. Proven record of taking ownership of exciting problems and optimally delivering results. Interest in designing, analysing and solving problems large-scale distributed systems. Application development experience in object-oriented and functional programming languages. Drive high levels of engagement through discovery sessions, enablement and solution positioning with executives and technical partners. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Fast learner who is generous with their knowledge. Self-directed, demonstrates leadership skills, and a phenomenal teammate. Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and Continuous Delivery platforms like Spinnaker Operational experience with supporting large scale Banking or Payments systems, is a plus.
