Apple is seeking extraordinary talent to manage Continuity of Supply, Warranty Redemption, Supplier Quality Claim, Repair/testing, Reverse Logistics and Costs for Service Products Components. You possess strong negotiation skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve extraordinary results in a fast-paced environment. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management Experience with vendor management process and working with contract manufacturers Proven procurement experience, project management skills, and capable to work with cross functional teams Excellent communication (technical/engineering and business) as well as exceptional organization and leadership skills Deep understanding of components manufacturing processes Understanding of complex engineering quality issues and related solutions Understanding of contractual terms and ability to communicate with Apple attorneys on business/legal negotiation strategies Mandarin Chinese language skills a plus Description Description You will have responsibility for designing and implementing solutions that achieve business-critical metrics in the following areas:
Cost Management and Continuity of Supply: manage costs for warranty, seed stock, repairs and out-of- production replacement parts across all regions and repair channels; design repair and/or replacement supply chain to secure continuity for system level (“Level 1”) repairs at the lowest possible supply chain cost and at the highest service level for Apple customers. Lead recovery plans and execution when global supply falls short of demand. Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within the supply chain and ensure full support throughout the service phase of the product lifecycle.
Warranty Redemption: ensure that Apple’s internal systems and processes are capable of redeeming the full value of warranty terms with suppliers. Drive system and process enhancements to increase our scope and eliminate all costs associated with in-warranty support.
Supplier Quality Claim: work with engineering team and suppliers to verify the root cause and identify failure rate. Assess the financial impact with Finance, Business Insight and Business GCM teams. Negotiate with supplier to settle claim amount, set up payment plan and ensure supplier fulfills financial responsibilities.
Supplier Management: manage suppliers’ performance in Service Operations through Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Supplier Performance Index (SPI) processes. Partner with commodity leaders in Operations (GSM) to negotiate contractual terms. Drive suppliers to enhance their infrastructure to support our developing business needs.
Reverse Logistics and Operations: set metric targets and oversee the supplier’s management of their repair/screening operations. Evaluate supplier’s capacity and manage to required demand levels. Monitor suppliers' planning and procurement activities and their compliance with Apple's cost, quality and service level requirements.
Project management: you will lead AppleCare Post-Ramp Qualification (PRQ) projects for service component changes.
In addition, you will partner closely with Planning, Purchasing, Finance Engineering and Quality disciplines within AppleCare. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or BA degree

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $148,200 and $263,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
