The B2B CDP team of the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) is looking for a software engineer with high potential who is eager to learn new technologies and help design, build, and operate our industry-leading applications/solutions at scale. As an experienced software engineer, you can design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable applications that will enable customers to market their products and services.This role is located in the San Jose, Ca office.What you will doDesign and build highly scalable applications that process data using Databricks, Spark, Scala, Java, and other tools.Optimize distributed microservices and Spark applications to reduce cost and enhance availability.Ensure quality and integrity by implementing validation.Lead sophisticated, large-scale projects in an Agile environment using Scala, Java, Spring Framework, Git, Jenkins, Spark, Kubernetes and microservices.Exhibit a level of technical leadership needed for successful progression.Leverages best practices, articulates ideas, & markets them across teams and organizations. Promotes a culture of continuous learning. Communicate clearly with the team and management to define & achieve goals. Be a technical leader with the ability and desire to mentor other members of the team.What you will need to succeed:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.5+ years of experience in software engineering.Hands-on experience and proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Scala, Java, Spring framework and other engineering tools and frameworks.Experience in building/designing applications and solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Proven expertise in Java, OOP Principals, clean Design and Design PatternsProven expertise in designing and developing scalable, maintainable, performant and resilient applicationUnending curiosity, thoroughness, tenacity and focus on quickly designing and building complex software systems with great quality to solve customer problemsHave a good sense of organization to set expectations and keep deliverables on a timeline, with the ability to document, communicate and justify all technology decisions and directionsDeep understanding of modern cloud technologies and design patterns for building "always-up" servicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience with Kafka, Redis, and Microsoft Azure is a plusExperience with Git, CI/CD pipeline (Moonbeam, Jenkins) is a plus  Quick learner and ability to understand complex systems  Experience in a B2B environment is a plusHands-on Akka framework is a plus.Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.Experience in designing and implementing micro-services and RESTful servicesDemonstrate successful product shipments in cross-collaboration & distributed geo teams.Familiarity with monitoring systems like NewRelic, Splunk, and Grafana is a plus.Experience in applying quality, governance, and security standards and practices is a plus.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $119,000 -- $232,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
