In this role, you’ll collaborate with our IT and Facilities teams and build the systems that will allow us to be successful.What this role is:As an IT Manager-Network & Telecom, you’ll use your technical expertise along with your project management skills to help build the maturity of our network and telecom stack. As a growing company, we are looking to bring in best practices and help us solve unique problems. You will be able to bring in off-the-shelf technologies and work with internal teams to develop customs systems. This role requires both technical skills and interpersonal skills to be successful.What this role isn’t:This isn’t a role where you’ll only be working behind the scenes. You will partner with teams throughout Genesys and be working hands-on to build our network to support our global enterprise. As the network leader on the IT team, you will work with the stakeholders to identify any opportunities to build best-in-class network and telecom systems.What you’ll bring to the table:In this role, you will need to be able to communicate across all levels of the business. You will also lead conversations, consulting with teams and using your knowledge to align the various stakeholders. This requires both technical experience and project management skills. You will need to understand how the network and devices work and identify and ensure we are hitting key milestones in our maturity. Having experience with AWS & Cisco network implementations or other similar enterprise networks is required.Some details about what you’ll do:Define and drive the technical network strategy and roadmaps, including short- and long-term outcomesDirects the planning, production, and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to cloud telecommunication systems.Provide leadership to direct reports and a team of network professionals and manage the day-to-day workload of the team.Drive accountability for managed service providers to ensure performance is metNegotiate and monitor performance on SLAs through regular review and follow up on metrics.Manage and support networking technologies in AWS, VMC and colo data center infrastructuresWork with business/IT stakeholders to define and manage design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of our cloud and onprem network & telecom solutions to suit enterprise needs.Ensure standard operating procedures are completed and implemented throughout the teamLead troubleshooting sessions (connectivity, performance, outages, etc.)Be responsible for all network maintenance, security patching and monitoring of systems.Ensure and implement resiliency within infrastructure and routinely test resiliency to ensure disaster recovery requirements are metEnsure processes are in place to proactively protect consistent service quality through acceptable change control and service procedures in line with agreed upon process and standardsDevelop operating budget and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are metUnderstand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business needs, including those of IT.Requirements:10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years of IT leadershipBachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, technical discipline, or equivalent experienceCisco environment experience with core network technologies is required. Examples: LAN/WAN, VLAN’s, VRF, VPN, BGP/OSPF.Experience designing and supporting network architectures using MPLS, segment routing, DMVPN, and SDN network technologies.Experience supporting and administering Infoblox DNS and DHCP technologies.Experience supporting AWS telecom services, Hybrid Cloud SBC routingDemonstrates IT management experience driving & defining complex IT strategyTakes ownership and accountability with all aspects of the role and seeks the best outcomes for the companyEffective in presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical colleaguesEffective project management skills to lead multiple IT disciplines that include software development, technical support, systems architecture, etc.Negotiating and collaboration skills with third party IT business partnersBonus Skills: Experience with AWS cloud technologies (Amazon VPC, EC2, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53).Strong Cisco networking background, preferably with Cisco DNA CenterKnowledge of internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, SMTP and SNMPExperience with supporting AWS infrastructure networking and on-prem office networks.Experienced in 802.11 Wireless technologies.Knowledge of IP networks, network components, and troubleshooting using tools to diagnose and resolve network issues#LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
