About The Role:
As part of the Platform team, the Runtime squad is responsible for building and maintaining the core services and libraries that different engineering teams across Upgrade will use to ship new features and products. The Runtime squad will work cross-functionally with other teams to deliver solutions that will improve development velocity and reduce toil.
What You’ll Do:
Design and implement highly scalable distributed systems that will optimize the SDLC of engineers as they write, test, build and deploy new services and features
Maintain and evolve the platform to ensure that proper abstractions are in place to enable rapid development for internal teams
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their needs and deliver effective cross-cutting initiatives
Help drive best practices for quality and efficiency across engineering
What We Look For:
Strong Java programming experience and knowledge of Spring Boot
Previous experience working with microservices architecture
Solid technical understanding of distributed systems and database internals
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice To Have:
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
