About the role:
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, and network systems
Maintain and repair IT equipment, including computers, printers, and related peripherals
System Administration:
Manage and maintain computer systems and servers, including Linux, Mac and Windows and Okta environments
Perform system updates, and security checks to ensure data integrity and system efficiency
Network Management:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices and infrastructure
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot basic networking issues, ensuring stable and efficient network operation
Hardware Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in computers, servers, and other IT equipment
Coordinate with vendors for warranty and repair services when necessary
Documentation and Reporting:
Document processes, as well as log and track issues using IT support ticketing systems
Prepare and maintain reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions
Collaboration and Training:
Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies and best practices
Provide training and guidance to manufacturing staff on IT systems and best practices
What makes you a good fit:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technical field
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Okta, Network+, Linux, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an IT support or technical role
Technical Proficiency: knowledge of Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience configuring and managing Okta SSO including:
Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and user provisioning
Proficiency in configuring and administering Okta Identity, including user lifecycle management, group management, and policy enforcement
Implementing and maintaining role-based access control (RBAC) using Okta to manage user permissions
Knowledge of federation protocols such as SAML and OAuth, and the ability to implement federated identity solutions using Okta
Hardware Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including knowledge of computer components and peripherals, Linux hardware and drivers
Networking Basics: Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms
Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
