The Autonomous Vehicles Platform Team is searching for Engineer to develop and bring NVIDIA's automotive platform out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. If you're creative, autonomous, and love a challenge, we want to hear from you.What you'll be doing:Collaborate with software, hardware and systems engineering teams to bring up Autonomous Vehicles in terms of ethernet networking and provide technical support as needed, ensuring that NVIDIA HW and SW solutions are properly integrated and working in the development vehicles.Create system-level requirements, verification methods, and testing criteria, and work with the software team to implement.Prior experience with IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Networking (layer 1 physical PHY, layer 2 Switch/MAC, and layer 3 IP), such as 100BASE-T1 / 1000BASE-T1, packet switching, VLAN, IP, TCP/UDP stack, etc, is a plus.Prior experience with Time Sensitive Networking protocols, such as Automotive PTP (Avnu gPTP, AUTOSAR Time Synchronization over Ethernet, etc) is a plus.Opportunity to learn sub-systems of Autonomous Vehicles, such as Radar, LiDAR, Camera, GPS, etc.Opportunity to learn different areas of expertise in Autonomous Vehicles: architecture, specification, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, etc.Work in an environment which involves Linux, QNX RTOS, and Hypervisor.What we need to see:BS (or equivalent experience) or MS in CS/CE/EE5+ years in a related fieldExcellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritizationExpert C, C++, Python programming skillsExperience in embedded system involving Linux/RTOS with exposure to bring-up and debugging of SoC-based target hardware boardsStrong debugging skills from application to kernel level and comfortable working across SW/HW domainsDevice driver knowledge is a major plusMaster of software debugging tools: software debuggers, analyzers, trace loggersWays to stand out from the crowd:Prior experience in Automotive fieldBackground with QNX RTOS and toolsPrior experience working with CAN and tools, RADAR, LiDAR is a plusExperience with onsite and offsite customer support
