Candidates must have experience in developing software systems/utilities on Linux platforms and have exposure implementing software development best practices throughout the software development life cycle including integration testing and release processes. Knowledge of EDA flows, infrastructure, and/or Memory/IO/SC compiler systems, Web portals, ASIC flows and process automation, will be preferred. Responsibilities: Candidate willbe expected to contribute/lead development projects while following organizational standards and practices to deliver high quality software, and meet aggressive schedules and milestones.have frequent communication with organization leaders and peers – across geographically dispersed locations and time zones - have excellent verbal and written communication skills.perform development/modification of software code (mostly Perl and Python), perform unit & system testing.work closely with technical leads/senior team members from other regions/teams to evolve and improve organizational standards and practices.debug code and slove problems, contribute towards the development & improvements of software code for library systems/tools/processes.read, analyze, and modify a large base of legacy scripts and software code to debug, improve user experience, and to reduce support overhead.participate in code reviews and build team consensus to implement continuous improvements to development processes.develop automation and flows for the generation and the quality analysis of EDA models working closely with Memory/IO circuit design teams in a collaborative environment within the Electrical Engineering domain.work directly with internal software teams globally to find timely solutions to the software utility related issues.be available to respond to library support queries and address tickets on compile and system issues from product teams across Broadcom. Requirements:Experience in software engineering and programming/coding skills on Linux platforms.Experience in software tools/process automation.Typically B.E/B.Tech in EE/ECE/CSE with programming/coding experience with 5+ years of related experience, or M.E/M.Tech with 3+ years of related experience in software coding.Can strive in dynamic development environments, with frequent context switching, and multi-tasking.Excellent, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with most of the following: Python, Perl, MySQL, HTML, Shell, TCL, C/C++.Familiarity with software tools & frameworks - SVN, Synchronicity/DSM, GIT.Exposure to RAM/ROM/RF memory functionality, FE and BE models, model generation software, simulators and compilation, watermark and verification processes is desirable.Hands-on with quality analysis automation, integration, regression testing, and model release is preferred.Understanding of library compiler software, infrastructure and systems like Memory/IO/Standard Cell compilers, web portal, and queue/triage tracking systems is preferred.Knowledge of Chip/IP design tools and flows and EE industry experience is desirable.Familiarity with memory power model (APL/CMM/Leakage) generation flow, ROM code, Checksum analysis is desirable.Sharp eye for details.Strong analytical, problem solving, and quick learning skills are required.Good team player, methodical, independent and ability to remain calm and composed in high pressure situations.
