We are looking for a Director, Product Sales Books - EMEA to join our Government and Academic Segment in London. This is an amazing opportunity to lead the sales strategy and execution for the Books portfolio for EMEA, leading a team of Book Sales Specialists and Collection and Workflow Strategy Consultants.  Partnering with the Books Business Unit and regional Sales teams across EMEA, the Director will achieve the sales goals and strategic priorities of the business.  This role will be a member of the regional A&G Sales Leadership team.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments5+ years of B2B sales, ideally in an academic library setting5+ years’ experience negotiating large-scale, complex, and high-value contracts.3+ years sales management / leadership experience.Bachelor’s degreeIt would be great if you also have. Competence in languages in addition to EnglishWhat will you be doing in this role?Leads the Book Specialist team in delivering and exceeding sales targets, driving new sales growth and retention for the Books portfolio and developing and enhancing strategic relationships across the EMEA region.Develops, owns and implements strategic sales plans for Books in EMEA, whilst working collaboratively with Regional Sales Directors and peers to ensure alignment, support cross selling, and up-selling across the portfolio. Develops monthly revenue forecasts, territory and resource planning for all Books solutions.Oversees Books Specialists in developing and sustaining key relationships to maximize revenue and business opportunities, participating in negotiations as appropriate.Oversees complex deals, assessing financial considerations, support infrastructure, margins, impact on territory and other relevant factors.Hires, manages, motivates, coaches, and develops the Books Specialist team.Scopes and implements initiatives that directly support the Books Business Unit’s global go-to-market strategy and objectives.Partners with and provides input to the product and marketing teams to create and shape new product development, product enhancements and strategic initiatives.Leads regional sales meetings; participates in strategic planning & sales leadership meetings.Leads development of best practices and processes; facilitates adoption across the regional Books sales team.Maintains a thorough understanding of Clarivate’s strategies, goals, structure, and operating methodologies.About the TeamClarivate Books is a global leader in the provision of content (electronic and print) and workflow solutions to support our customers to be more effective, efficient and to meet the needs of their teaching and learning patrons.The Director, Product Sales Books EMEA works closely with the Books Business Unit and leads a team of 8 Books Specialists and 4 Collections and Workflow Consultants.  They oversee revenue in excess of $80M per annum, working with academic and government libraries and institutions across the region. Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position requiring weekday (Monday - Friday) working with some scheduling flexibility needed as required.
